Overview
Often toolbars are made around a search feature.
This is used to make money from your search
results on a pay per click basis. We have never
and will never have a search feature on our toolbar,
our toolbar is to help your internet experience
and not to make money from your surfing.
1
= Clear Cache
(Junk Browser Files)
Clears cached files stored in a hidden folder,
when you view any web page every image or
scripts and any other files needed to make that
page are downloaded to your pc's hard drive,
over time this can build up to hundreds of
thousands of files slowing down your pc,
clearing your cache deletes these files but does
not clear cookies
2 = Clear Old
Temporary Install Files
Installing programs etc often leaves install
files in a temp folder on your pc, this also can
build up to take up your hard drive space,
corrupt downloads here can cause problems when
re'downloading to fix a program. Viruses and
Malware often sit here.
NOTE
When you clear the Temporary Install Files you
must close the browser for it to finish
cleaning, If you click a link that opens a url
in a new window the toolbar will show as corrupt
and say "Toolbar is corrupt, Click here to
uninstall" this is because the temp folder where
the images for the toolbar are stored is emptied
so there are no images that make up the toolbar,
the next time you open your browser fresh images
will be put back so you can view the toolbar
again.
3 = Clear
Your Internet Explorer History
(Visited Sites)
To the left of Internet Explorer there is a
star, this will shows you visited sites on a
daily basis, you can clear this list of visited
sites so no one else can view sites you have
visited
4 = Clear
Address Bar (Visited URL's)
Clears the drop down url/web site history list
of sites visited.
5 = Clear
Cookies (Logging And Stored Web Page
Logins)
Cookies can be good and bad, they are for a
websites log of when you visit, giving the date
and time so they can see how often you visit
usually simply for statistics by companies, also
these are used to store logins to sites such as
forums or emails. some bad programs or sites can
add cookies to give out all your surfing habits
which they sell to advertising companies.
NOTE
Clearing these can help clean your pc however
you will have to re supply details to sites you
have login saved such as passwords which will
then give you another cookie.
